We’re an Australian headquartered, global developer and manufacturer of analytical and life sciences products and devices, founded to have a positive impact on human well-being. We do this through consumable products, devices and solutions that are used in the analysis of biological, food, water, and other environmental samples. Through our portfolio and technology pipeline we’re supporting the move towards decentralised, personalised data-based healthcare.
Trajan has built a global infrastructure of operations in Europe, the US, and Asia, with seven dedicated precision manufacturing facilities in Australia, Europe, Malaysia, and the US, and a workforce of more than 650 people. Trajan’s global footprint is specifically designed to support future growth at scale and in close proximity to key customers.
Trajan's life sciences solutions focus on areas directly related to human health. We enhance and optimise workflows with a variety of automated preparative or sample collection systems ready to integrate into laboratories, or generate custom solutions for life science research and development.
Trajan was established in 2011 by Stephen and Angela Tomisich with the aim of enriching human well-being through scientific measurement. Stephen and Angela have extensive backgrounds in analytical chemistry and biomedical science and together have over 50 years’ experience in global analytical science and clinical trial management.
Trajan's operations were initiated by the acquisition of two pathology consumables businesses in 2011 and 2013.
In 2013, Trajan made the significant acquisition of the chromatography and liquid handling businesses of SGE Analytical Science, which was a participant in the highly specialised analytical syringe sector, as well as having a range of other chromatography products.
In 2015, Trajan made the strategic decision to focus on everything that touches the sample in the analytical workflow, investing significantly in the modernisation of its manufacturing processes and relocating its US and European operations into modern, custom-fitted facilities, as it did later with the acquisition of workflow automation provider LEAP Technologies in 2016.
